Ar šo konvenciju atceļ un aizstāj 1957.gada 12.aprīļa statūtus un to 1962.gada 13.aprīļa protokolu. Ja šajā konvencijā nav paredzēts citādi, tad Eiropas vispārējās vidējās izglītības nolīgums paliek spēkā. Papildprotokolu, kas attiecas uz Minhenes skolu un kas izstrādāts, atsaucoties uz 1962.gada 13.aprīļa protokolu, un parakstīts Luksemburgā 1975.gada 15.decembrī, šī konvencija neskar. Norādes aktos, kas pieņemti pirms šīs konvencijas un kas attiecas uz skolām, jāsaprot tā, ka tās attiecas uz atbilstīgajiem pantiem šajā konvencijā.
